The Lantern.

The flame flickers a gentle, warm glow.
Lighting the way during the darkest night.
It's comforting, familiar warmth radiates and explodes so very bright.

Gloom has no hold, over the lantern's glow.
I follow its light, wherever it goes.
The light guides me on my path, it shows me where to go as it leads the way.

Where the lantern's light shows, I have no reason to be afraid. Darkness flees from view wherever the lantern does shine its flickering flame. Like love poring out for me, this new Life of mine is my Domain.
