Just A Weird Little Weirdo.

I've been pretty much everywhere
But no one knows my name, never
Truly fit in, only have known what
It is to feel out of place.

There are times when I feel
So unlike everyone else, it's
Like I'm an alien from out of
Space. 

I like to think of myself as
A beam of sunshine, in the
Middle of the pounding rain.

Have only ever been seen
As "weird" and "strange",
Still I continue to do things
My way.

Tried to be like everyone
Else, but "normal" wasn't
For me.

I realised that it doesn't matter
How hard I try to be "normal"
Because some things don't change.

You see, being weird is really
Quite wonderful.
And besides, I'm just happy
To be me.

Anxiety & Panic Attacks.

My brain is melting, my
Mind is breaking down.
As fear consumes me, I
Can't help but bawl my
Eyes out.

Terms like, "chill out",
"calm down" and "relax" lose
All meaning as my lungs
Forget how to keep
Breathing.

Anxiety is a sneaky little
Devil, creeping up on me when
I least expect.

Depending on the individual,
It varies itself on different levels.
So if anyone suffers with anxiety,
Know that you have my respect.

If you try to comfort me
By saying, "it's okay."
Thank you, but that doesn't
Mean the panic I'm feeling
Will suddenly vanish and
Go away.

Anxiety is like a storm,
I have to ride it out.
Once it's over, soon it will
Be forgotten about.

Free Bird.

I run towards the storm,
Faster than I've ever run before.
I am the first bird you see, gliding
Towards the sun at every dusk
And dawn.

By honouring my past, living
In the present, I am a slave to
The steady beat of my heart and
The melody of my soul.

Dancing towards my future,
As the rhythm of positive energy
Becomes me. 

I am a free bird.
I was born to fly, not be
Controlled.

I smile to myself as I feel
My heart let go of what too tightly
It did once hold, I close my eyes
And mute the noise in my
Mind.

With the wind beneath my
Wings, I soar to great heights.
It's just me, and the never ending
Sky.

I have nothing to regret,
Because here, I don't ever have to
"Grow up."

Nothing can hurt me, I don't have
To worry about anyone who might
Desert me.

Why blend in when I can
Stand out? Why talk quietly when
I can laugh and shout?

I know Anxiety is a liar, because every day I find myself climbing higher.

She is a true warrior,
There is no battle she

So I run with her, we
Set each other free.
She gives me all of her,
